
GOURMET POPCORN UPSTART TAPS COMM3 CREATIVE FOR
CORPORATE IDENTITY
This month, DRC Holdings, Inc. has announced the launch of a new venture – Shirley's Gourmet Popcorn, headquartered in Bluffton, Ohio. The popcorn enterprise is an offshoot of the Shannon Theater, also owned by DRC Holdings. Plans are for sales to be generated both in their retail location as well as their online center, with an emphasis on organizational fundraisers, corporate purchasing and wedding receptions.
The company has retained Comm3 Creative, Inc. to furnish all creative for the new retailer's corporate identity, including promotional materials and Shirley's online design. The graphic design studio has offices in Bluffton, as well as the Atlanta, Georgia and Birmingham, Alabama regions.
Peter Suter, who leads the theater and popcorn company, has stated that the website should be fully operational early in 2010. Internet sales will give the company the ability to receive orders and ship its products anywhere in the United States and beyond.
Over 80,000 theater patrons annually will pass by the Shirley's Gourmet Popcorn retail store, located in the same building as the Shannon Theater. Each online batch will be hand-made and initiated only as the order is taken, ensuring the highest quality and freshness – a benefit of a boutique-sized operation. Custom colors are even a possiblity to match the schemes of wedding receptions.
